How is the price of any kitchen determined?
Many factors influence the final cost.
- MaterialsFor example, LEICHT offers imitation concrete
and natural concrete. The visual difference is minimal, but some customers value tactility. They value natural materials, but there's no difference in production quality. Don't listen to salespeople who talk about quality. There's no difference within a single manufacturer.1 - DimensionsThe larger the kitchen, the more expensive it is. That's logical, but that's not the point.
Sometimes houses have very high ceilings, and people build kitchens 3 meters, 4 meters, or whatever they have, and it's not always necessary to fill everything with cabinets. Sometimes, "false panels" are enough.
The appearance is the same, but the cost is completely different.2 - MechanismsOne electric drive costs around 1,000 euros.
You definitely don't need that for your entire kitchen. A competent designer will be interested in who will use the kitchen and how, and will recommend exactly the number of mechanisms you need, not just to increase their profit margin.3 - Non-standardsThe more custom features, the more expensive the kitchen. On average, any extra charge for one custom feature is 10% of the cost of the element. For example, you have a 60 cm cabinet, but your niche is 62 cm and you don't want any gaps. The manufacturer will make a 62 cm cabinet, but it will be 10% more expensive.4
- FillingA good set of kitchen accessories costs around
€2,000-3,000. We recommend choosing accessories after installing the kitchen and limiting yourself to the standard set (forks and knives, foil, plates, and pots).5 - OptionsYou don't need every option, and a competent designer can help you with that. Yes, a roll-out wardrobe is objectively more convenient than a hinged one, but that doesn't mean it's right for you.6

Validity of decisions
We consider this a major advantage, although customers consider it a disadvantage. The less expertise a manufacturer has, the more confident and reliable their responses to customers will be. "Can you make a cabinet 2 meters long?" "Yes, we can," local manufacturers respond. LEICHT, of course, can make such a cabinet, but they won't because it's not reliable. And this has been tested at the LEICHT Innovation and Testing Center, and LEICHT won't make anything that can break, because manufacturing defects must be reduced to zero.
